  • An Educationalist (non-chiropractor)
  • Chiropractor

The QAAC is composed of eight members and is responsible for overseeing the accreditation process for chiropractic educational programs across Europe and South Africa. This includes the granting, revocation, or refusal of accreditation status.

Key Responsibilities: QAAC members are expected to actively contribute to the committee’s tasks, including:

  • Participating in accreditation visits and evaluations.
  • Engaging in committee meetings and discussions, ensuring that accreditation decisions align with ECCE standards.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in relation to QAAC activities.

Candidate Profiles:

  • Educationalist candidates should have broad expertise in Higher Education, including curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and academic governance. Familiarity with quality assurance processes, especially the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area is also essential. Ideal candidates will bring experience in fostering academic excellence and institutional improvement.
  • Chiropractor candidates should have a professional profile aligned with the standards upheld by the Council on Chiropractic Education International (CCEI), ensuring that chiropractic educational programs prepare safe and competent practitioners.

Commitment: QAAC members are required to dedicate time for:

  • Two in-person meetings annually (typically in May/June and November).
  • Additional meetings via Teams, scheduled in alignment with accreditation visits.

Compensation: This is not a salaried position. An honorarium per day as determined by council will be provided. Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed according to ECCE’s financial policies.

Application Process: To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter to mandy.stagg@cce-europe.org by 14 November 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed during the week commencing 25 November 2024.
